Meet the Gynecologist for a good cause

Gynecologist

Hello friends, Today I am going to share the experience of one of my friend's meeting with her Gynaecologist. So, let's start.....

The discussion was on the menstruations. My friend was facing irregular periods and Vaginal itching, which made her visit the Gynaecologist. For this, the Gynae asked some of the questions based on which she gave the remedial measures for her problems. Those questions were really important that every lady/women must know.
  1. How often you visit the Gynae?
  2. Which type of  Sanitary pads you use?
  3. How often you change the Sanitary pad?
  4. Do you use Tampons?
Let us now discuss those answers given by Mrs. Gynae;
  • At least ones in every 6 months you should visit Gynae. Why? Because 3  in every 5 girls are facing the problem of Vaginal itching due to fungus and irregular menstruation problems, and to have an idea about this cause and it's proper remedy it becomes compulsory to visit the Gynae. For vaginal itching, Vwash is recommended. The vaginal area has a pH of 3.5 so it is not recommended to apply soap as it is basic in nature.
  • The Sanitary pad you use matters a lot to keep in check the Vaginal health. The Sanitary pads displayed in TV ads may seem very relevant and safe but in reality, the scenario is different. Those Sanitary napkins with absorbent gel actually consist of Chlorine which is very very harmful to Vaginal health. Various sanitary napkins available in the market have plastic content in them. The fumes that are released by these napkins can cause allergies and irritations. Thus it is highly recommended to use Cotton pads only. These cotton pads will be gentle at those parts and you will feel more comfortable using them. Below are some;
  1. Modicare pads (https://amzn.to/2HoGsDu)
  2. Natracare (https://amzn.to/2HovD4z)
  3. Glad Rags Organic Pads (https://amzn.to/2TGO9f2)
  4. Stayfree Cottony soft (https://amzn.to/2TDy9uk)
  • During your periods, every 2.5 hours you must change your Sanitary pad, otherwise, it will remain wet which again will cause fungal infection. And most the girls bleed very less in their last days of periods, and in these days they must replace Sanitary pads with pantyliners. Why? Because due to less bleeding most of the girls tend to avoid changing their pads which again accumulate heat at that area which enhance the growth of fungus suitable to that condition.
  • Tampons are the best replacement for the Sanitary pads. At first, it may feel a little awkward to use but these are more clean and safer than pads. Wearing pads during those 5-6 days keeps the vaginal area away from breathing which should be avoided. But tampons let the area breathe and do not poach the growth of yeast. And for this one must opt for Cotton tampons only.
