The second Meet with the Gynecologist

• The discussion was on "Cervical Cancer". We were told the causes, indications and the primitive measures that you can take for avoiding this dreaded disease.

• Cervical cancer occurs when abnormal cells on the cervix grow out of control. It can often be prevented or successfully treated when found early.

• Females between ages 15 to 44 are the most prone to Cervical Cancer.

• 1 in every 52 women is facing this cancer.

Causes of Cervical Cancer

• The very main and important cause is the infection by Human Papillomavirus (HPV)

• HPV mostly transmitted through sexual intercourse and most people get affected shortly by one set of sexual activity.

Symptoms of Cervical Cancer

• Irregular Vaginal bleeding
• Bleeding after Menopause
• Odorous discharge from the vagina
• Pain during intercourse
• Fatigue, weight loss
• Back, Leg and Pelvic pain
• A single swollen Leg

More women in India die due to Cervical cancer. Estimated deaths due to Cervical Cancer is 60078 per year.

And the good part is that Cervical Cancer is the most preventable cancer, that can be done based on early precautions.

Recommendations given to us by Mrs. Gynac 

• The very first thing to observe above listed Symptoms. If any then do visit your Gynac.
• There is a vaccine available for this cancer and i.e. Cervarix. 
• There are various vaccines available for different brands. (You must choose one-based on Gynac's recommendations)

After this meeting, I personally visited my Gynac and discussed the whole thing. She told that this Vaccine is 100% profitable if taken before marriage. But the married one must visit the Gynac to know its effect after marriage. I had taken 3 doses of Cervarix vaccine based on the Gynaecologist's recommendations.
